If you run a Freecycle, ReUseIt, FullCircles, or another freecycling group using Yahoo! Groups, you can now grow your group’s membership through Oodle’s new “Promote My Group” feature. This functionality advertises your group and its listings to local Marketplace users, customers of Recology, and users of Earth911’s directory. Promote My Group takes less than a minute to set up and is completely free!

How it works

When you promote your group on Marketplace, your group listings appear on Marketplace, and Marketplace users are encouraged to join your group.  Here’s how it works:

	1. Your group is “linked” to Marketplace After you complete the short setup process, a special Marketplace email address (e.g., palo-alto-freecircle@circles.oodle.com) becomes a “member” of your Yahoo Group.
	2. Your group’s listings are shared with Marketplace New postings to your group are sent to Marketplace via the Marketplace email address.
	3. Local residents discover your group on Marketplace There are over 20 million users of Marketplace!  As local users search for items, browse neighborhood pages, and read Marketplace newsletters, they discover your group listings.
	4. Your membership grows! When a user responds to one of your group’s listings on Marketplace, he is prompted to join your group!
