Delving into Oodle Insights – How does it work?

Although Oodle Insights may be quite simple to use, the numbers and data are not easy to calculate and are done so by technology that is proprietary to Oodle…our “secret sauce” if you will.

Median price and inventory calculations are based on historical data set of “similar” listings. Similarity is calculated using a mix of price, location, and other key attributes (e.g., make/model/year in cars). This calculation also varies by category and price range (e.g., people looking for a cheap apartment are likely to be less sensitive to location than someone looking for an expensive one). In terms of suspicious listings, we use home-grown technology as well.
